I have recently heard that people who don't have shelter are houseless - not homeless. I would only agree if we are talking about Chronic Homelessness which indeed has nothing to do with a lack of shelter.

Poverty in Our Town  Share Share

Atlanta/Sandy Springs/ Marietta - has 9.6% of all families living herebelow the poverty level.  13.8 % of families are with kids, 4.4% married families and 26% percent of all women that are single, divorced or separated are below the poverty level. Over 1600 children were identified as homeless in Cobb schools in 2011. More
