Who would of known that Hollister, Abercrombie, American Eagle and Free People would be brands that you would associate with helping people. OFH Clothing for a Cause, a premiere used clothing store in West Cobb is doing amazing things in the community with these brands and more. Kind of like the parable about the 5 fishes and loaves of bread, where so little provided so much!
We are the ultimate recyclers, turning your gently used items and donations into food, clothing and often hope for the homeless and hopeless. Linda used to run a clothing ministry that provided for children in Paulding and Cobb counties through foster care and school social workers. Now, her service has blossomed into so much more.
OFH receives donations of gently used clothing and home décor and then resells them to the public at discounted prices. It’s "West Cobb's biggest secret" because you can buy name brand clothing for a few dollars compared to the high prices at the mall. It is not your typical store. It is very clean and upscale and the clothes are stylish and trendy. Do your school shopping there and get your kids the clothes they want at the prices you want. Everybody wins and the blessings keep pouring out.
With the proceeds from the store, OFH purchases helps purchase food once a week and then volunteers cook it and distribute it along with needed clothing to the homeless in downtown Atlanta. OFH supports a ministry in Malawi, Africa, a growing Spanish ministry at WCC, and a ministry in Siberia. When the floods hit Powder Springs last year they help over 100 families with food, gas and clothing. Need volunteer hours or community service credits for school or the court? OFH has help countless people achieve the needed hours. The new furniture bank provides needed items for the homeless that they are helping to get into homes and apartments.
